Just a few random comment about moving.. I never want to move again… It cost to much to move. When Jimmy and I moved from Kansas City (2000) to Orlando (FL) we rented a car and filled it with our stuff.. I toss a lot of stuff and gave away a lot of stuff.
We live in Orlando for a year or so and moved to the Dallas (TX) area. In the move from Orlando a friend put all our stuff on a pallet and sent it all for us. I did leave behind a bike and a few other things.
In the move from Texas, with Ken, I just had a few items and we put them in a small car and made the trip.
In this move with Russell from Miami I toss a lot of stuff … I do not even want to think about what I got rid of….
I think I am to old to fly.. Without Russell I am not sure I could have found my way around the air port.. All those things you got to do and all those directions and with my hearing problem… Understanding what someone is saying on a PA system is next to impossible.
We made it to Fort Worth.. It is a nice apartment and I think it is a nice area.. Lot of black people here.. They seem nice… We are in a gated apartment complex …First time I have lived in one.. I sort of like it.
Darlene was very nice.. She got us food and drinks and other stuff so when we got here we would have it… This is different than five years ago for her.. Smile
Dar has a cat scan on Wednesday looking for cancer and then in a week or so gets the results.. She is scared…I am sure I would be …
We do not have a TV. I do not miss it… We may get one but we do not have one now. I only have one computer and it is runing Linux so I can not watch the steaming video from Netflix.
Dar loaned me an office chair that she was not using.. I got to be careful not to lean back to far or I will be on my ass on the floor.
I got my computer monitor on two boxes and the computer on the floor. I need a computer desk. They are cheap.. Not great ones.. but I do not need a great one.. But I do need a computer desk. Give me a computer desk and an office chair and I can stand anything.
I do not have a bed.. I will get one one day.. I can live without a bed …
Jimmy and Russ been playing a computer game on Russ's Xbox 360 for hours.
It would not surprise me if they are not at it all night.. But I got a room and a door so I will be OK.
This apartment is very bright during the day but it needs a few lamps at night. I will work on that when I get time.
My rent is only $475.00 a month and the electric bill should be about $100.00 a month and Russ is going to pay that.
On Wed Dar's Internet service will go from 1.6 Mps to 6 Mps a second. It is only going to cosst her an extra $10.00 but I am going to give her $100.00 a month and that will pay for her Internet, phone service and give her extra money.
Russ and I are getting our Internet service from her.. Russ put in our WiFi router and all is well.
I would like to have Windows on this computer.. but it Windows was re-booting x number of times each day… With Linux no re-boots.
I never want to move again.. Did I say that before?
