We as a nation have much to be thankful for and I have many reasons to br thankful on this Thanksgiving 2009.
Our economy is in very poor condition this Thanksgiving day but we know why and who is the cause of the problems and they American people have voted most of them out of office. There are still a few of them left but they seem to be doing everything in their power to cause the rest of them to be voted out of office.
We have a president this year that is trying bold things to correct many of the problems of the past.
We face hard times but at last we can look to Washington and believe that we have a friend in the White House.
We are very close to getting national health care for the people of the United States. The Democratic party has been trying to get health care for all Americans since the days of President Harry S. Truman. At last it may happen.
We are at war, this Thanksgiving, in two places in the world and we have brave men and woman willing to serve the United States at a time like this.. Men and Woman making great sacrifices. We should never forget what they have done, are doing and will do in the days and years ahead.
This Thanksgiving I will spend it with my son, my grandson and my ex-wife. My ex-wife just finished her treatment for cancer and just had a scan and is cancer free at this time.
My family is spread all over the world…Here in the United States and as far away as Sweden.
I am just a simple easy going quiet man but I have friends all over the world. I fear I do not deserve their friendship but they give their friendship and love year after year. I have fans friends that follow my blog and leave me comments and send emails they offer advice and often point me in the right direction. Many made donations over the years or sent me gifts. Just knowing that people care enough to take the time to read what I write has helped me make it in tough times. I started my blog after a divorce and I was alone living in a mobile home. I not only had my wife leave me but she took all four of my children.
My blog/Internet friends followed me and gave me their advice when times were hard. I lived in Belton (MO), Orlando (FL), Carrollton (TX), Miami (FL) and now Fort Worth (TX). I have had people interested in me and following me since 1982, at 300 baud, and some still of them are still interested in me and my life. Many others have decided to read about my life, my interested and just see what I am raving about from day to day.
This Thanksgiving I am thankful that I have so many friends all over the world..to many to name…to many to count.. Thank you all you have given me a reason to get up in the morning and a reason to try and be a better person.
