Left wing liberal college scientists lie again.  They lie about everything.  You can not believe any person with an education.  No this lie is not about the so called "global warming."

This lie is in a CNN story called "Scientists reaffirm theory that giant asteroid killed dinosaurs."

"(CNN) — A team of scientists has agreed that a giant asteroid killed off dinosaurs and a majority of other species on Earth more than 65 million years ago.

The researchers analyzed evidence and agreed it supports a single-impact theory first proposed 30 years ago on the cause of the mass extinction.

Since 1980, scientists have gathered an overwhelming amount of evidence that shows a single asteroid about 6 miles in diameter and traveling at 45,000 miles a second, slammed into the Gulf of Mexico, said Richard Norris, a paleoceanographer at the University of California San Diego.

The impact caused a crater 24 miles deep and 125 miles wide, according to Norris, who was part of the research team…"

If you believe in Jesus Christ our lord and savior and if you believe in his holy word as written in our blessed bible and if you have been home schooled then you know that they are wrong because the earth is only 6,000 years old and so an asteroid could not have hit here 65 million years ago.
In fact using the Scripture we know for a fact that the earth is only 6,000 years old.  God created the earth in about 4000 BC.

These lies are why the people of the book need to take over local boards of education and why they need to make the United States the Christian nation it was founded to be

I found the following AP story on Yahoo! News.  I am posting the entire story here.

200px-Stand_and_deliver "LOS ANGELES – Cast members of the 1988 movie "Stand and Deliver" are appealing for donations to help the movie’s real-life subject, an East Los Angeles high school teacher, pay his medical bills.

Jaime Escalante is battling cancer, and his family has run out of money to pay for his treatments. The Bolivian-born Escalante is 79 years old.

Actress Vanessa Marquez, who appeared in the film, told Fox 11 news in an interview Monday that $5,000 has been raised so far, but $25,000 more is needed.

"Stand and Deliver" dramatized the story of how Garfield High School math teacher Escalante turned a group of no-hoper students into calculus champs.

Actor Edward James Olmos played the role of Escalante in the film."

It is hard to believe that this is a real story.  This should be a movie.  I can not believe how stupid that school administration was about this entire matter.

By MARYCLAIRE DALE, Associated Press Writer Sat Feb 20, 4:58 am ET

PHILADELPHIA – A Pennsylvania school district accused of secretly switching on laptop computer webcams inside students’ homes is under investigation by federal authorities, a law enforcement official with knowledge of the case told The Associated Press.

The FBI will look into whether any federal wiretap or computer-intrusion laws were violated by Lower Merion School District officials, the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the investigation, told the AP on Friday.

Days after a student filed suit over the practice, Lower Merion officials acknowledged Friday that they remotely activated webcams 42 times in the past 14 months, but only to find missing student laptops. They insist they never did so to spy on students, as the student’s family claimed in the federal lawsuit.

Families were not informed of the possibility the webcams might be activated in their homes without their permission in the paperwork students sign when they get the computers, district spokesman Doug Young said.

"It’s clear what was in place was insufficient, and that’s unacceptable," Young said.

The district has suspended the practice amid the lawsuit and the accompanying uproar from students, the community and privacy advocates. District officials hired outside counsel to review the past webcam activations and advise the district on related issues, Young said.

Remote-activation software can be used to capture keystrokes, send commands over the Internet or turn computers into listening devices by turning on built-in microphones. People often use it for legitimate purposes — to access computers from remote locations, for example. But hackers can use it to steal passwords and spouses to track the whereabouts of partners or lovers.

I guess it is not so funny.  Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab had PETN (Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate) and I never heard of it and had to look it up.  It is a very powerful explosive chemical and hard to detect.  This is the same stuff that the shoe bomber had in his shoe.
It looks to me like we need to worry, here in the United States, about the lone nutcase.  The guy that has mental problems but contacts terrorist organization.  It is an organization that would never want the guy as a member but they are willing to give the guy something like PETN and tell him how to use it.  Then they wash their hands of the fool.
We got a lot of people like that right here in the United States.  With the Internet I am sure it is easy for them to make contact with terrorists.
Of course I would bet dollars to donuts that the CIA and FBI have websites set up calling for death to the United States and they are in fact FBI/CIA sites.  I bet it is that way with web sites, blogs and message boards.  If you are a want to be terrorist I bet you are communiating with Homeland Security.
But it just takes one mental subject to make the right contact with a real terrorist and we got problems.
Every President of the United States that has been killed was always by some nutcase that everyone knew was nuts.
We need better education in the United States.  We need heath care for everyone in the United States.  We need improved mental health services. We have to many people with mental problems running around that can not get treatment and medication.
We need better gun control in the United States and I am NOT talking about taking guns away from Americans.  We just need some better controls.  We need back ground investigations done before a person can buy a hand gun.  The instant checks suck.  We need records to be on file and the ability to access those files.  I am not sure how we handle the matter of privacy with regards to mental problems.  From reading the news it seems to me that we have people that clearly have mental problems but they can still go out and buy a gun.
I think right now the biggest "terrorist" problem we have is the lone nut case running around with a gun and now I guess PETN.

“If you were to judge the success rate of monogamy by the sex lives of public figures, perhaps couples should change their marriage vows to say, "Till a tempting new partner do us part." FULL STORY

CNN has a story by A. Pawlowski and it is listed as a “Mate debate: Is monogamy realistic?”
I know news sites run a lot of stories and reports around subjects like this… anything that talks about sex, sin, stars, mating… People jump on it and want to read it right away…
My gut feeling is that this sort of story on CNN does nothing but hurt them.. If I were one of the born again bible beaters this story would set me off and make me think that CNN had a issue and a goal.
Now knowing what I know about Faux News (aka Fox “news”) I could not turn to them because they run and show more sex than all the other networks.  They of course pretend that they are showing you how bad the other networks are or that they are showing you how sinful the others are… That would not work on me but I bet it works with a lot of the God squad people.

Have you heard of Peggy Robertson? After having her second child, her insurance company required that she get sterilized if she wanted to receive health insurance. Peggy fought back, and testifed before Sen. Barbara Mikulski’s committee hearing this month on how insurance companies discriminate against women.1

Members of Congress heard about it. The media reported on it. But we wondered, do our friends, family and neighbors realize how insurance companies have turned being a woman into a pre-existing condition?

Take your ticket for gender equity. Get in line here: seiu.org/ticket

Women want equal coverage for the equal premiums they pay – plain and simple. Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) is leading the charge, but we’ve got to get the word out. We built a tool to do just that – to demonstrate that any bill passed by Congress needs to end gender discrimination by insurers.

When you take your "deli counter ticket," you’ll receive a unique number. Post the number, along with this automatically-generated status update to Twitter, Facebook, and elsewhere: I’m [your number] against discrimination by health insurers. Women deserve equal coverage for equal premiums. http://seiu.org/ticket #hc09

Your ticket is waiting. Take it, here: seiu.org/ticket

Right now, millions of American women aren’t involved in the health care debate. They haven’t called or written Congress. They haven’t thought about health insurance reform much at all. But they’re dealing with the health insurance system every day – paying more and getting less.

Women pay 30-40% more than men on the private insurance market. Common pregnancy and c-sections are considered "pre-existing conditions." And in some states, insurers can even deny coverage to victims of domestic violence. The bills before Congress will guarantee, once and for all, that women are treated fairly by insurers.

Already, more than 6,500 tickets have been taken. Let’s demonstrate that women (and men!) across the country are calling for an end to discrimination against women by health insurers. Take your ticket now.

Thanks for speaking out,

Jessica Kutch
Online Campaign Manager
SEIU Healthcare

P.S. Yesterday’s announcement by Senate Majority Leader Reid that the Senate bill will include a public option is great news – but there’s still much work ahead. We must keep up the drumbeat for reform by spreading awareness on key issues like this one. I hope you’ll join us by taking your ticket for health care equality.

“(CNN) — It’s the most complex construction project in history.

Flying 250 miles overhead, the international space station can be seen with the naked eye, orbiting the Earth every 90 minutes, usually carrying a crew of six. Now, before construction of the station is even complete, there is already talk of when the lights will be turned off.

NASA is waiting for the Obama administration to decide how much longer the station will fly and exactly which direction the U.S. space agency will take next — a return to the moon, or maybe a trip to Mars?

The initial phase of the international space station was launched in 1998, although the station is still being expanded. The U.S. is one of 16 countries that help build and operate the station, whose laboratory runs a number of science experiments, including measuring the effects of space conditions, such as weightlessness, on humans…”  CNN

I have been a fan and supporter of the space program from the very first.  When the USSR put up Sputnik 1 I tracked it on my shortwave radio.  I listened to it on 20.005 mHz.  I was hooked on space from that time.  Well the truth is I had been interested in the sky before that time.
Sputnik 1 went up on October 4, 1957 and I was in high school.
My hobby was shortwave listening and right after I started doing a space communications column.  I would list satellites and their orbit information and the frequencies.
I would fall sleep tracking a satellite and the next orbit would wake me up.  Explorer 7 was one such satellite.
OK OK…the point is I have been and will be a big fan of the space program.  I had no idea that ISS had a dead line date.  I was thinking it was in space to stay and that we would just update it and add to it.  I was thinking that it would be there for all time.  I did not know that we had to choose it or something else.
It seems to me that we should have an ISS-Earth, an ISS-Moon and ISS-Mars.  It seems to me that they should connected and working with each other.
If we are going to kill off the ISS then I question if it was ever worth the money and the effort.  We spent a lot of money and we have lost lives just to build the ISS.  Why did we build the ISS?

I hope the ISS will stay in orbit and out live us all.

We know the Republican stand on this issue right?  They will want to give   space, the Moon, Mars and the sky and heaven to the big corporations.  They want them to control the water you drink, the air you breath and the sun that falls on your face.

I wish I had found about this sooner.  I checked and there are about six or seven events just in Miami.  The Miami Zoo is one place taking part in this event.  I think the normal price to get in the zoo is about $15.00 so you could save about $30.00 just at the Miami Zoo today.
This is a nation wide event check it out:  Museum Day

My grandson’s unemployment benefits run out this month.  He has been trying to find work for months.  Part of his problem is that he does not speak Spanish.  He also does not have a car and that does not help in finding a job when unemployment is high.
Russell is not the only one with unemployment benefits running out…He has a lot of company…more than a million jobless have it running out on them.  This at a time when the national unemployment rate is at 9.7 and is the highest in 26 years.
The House is going to take up a bill today to help these people.   It will extend benefits for those in states with a jobless rate higher than 8.5%.
The unemployment rate in Florida is 11%.
You can look up your state rate here:  Unemployment Rate

See the CNN Money story for more details.
I hope they extend benefits for everyone and of course I hope it helps Russell.  He has been trying to find work and he is going to school.  He will have his two year degree soon.  He will then go in the military or he will go on and try and get his four year degree.

I do not watch my words or hold much back here when I blog.  I call a spade a spade.  I have no fear of saying someone lies.
In the United States, with men, you have to be very careful not to call someone a liar.  I am not sure why we are that way… You can call someone a son-of-a-bitch or say Fuck You but you call someone a liar and you may have a fight on your hands.

We have something else in the United States and that is respect for the office of President of the United States.  You may say things about him in print or on TV or the radio but you do not do it in the White House or on the floor of congress.  It is just the way it has been… I think President George Washington had something to do with it.  He was so honored and respected that since that time we have honored the office of president.

I just found this on CNN:

“…We stand when the president enters the room, no matter who the president is. He has his own tune when he goes anywhere. When he gives a speech, his seal is on the lectern. The president is treated with royal respect, even though he is overtly not a royal. Ever since George Washington declined to become a king, we have established traditions that give the president all the kingly trappings…”  John Feehery CNN

OK that was what I was trying to say and he said it much better than I could.

The Republicans are getting out of control and going crazy.
We have got to start acting like ladies and gentlemen.  We need to start teaching this to our children at home and at school.
I am not sure how we can do it at school because we can not bring religion in to the schools.  We need to teach children to honor their father and mother.  We need to teach them not to lie or steal.  I think we can do it without bring religion in the class rooms.
We need to understand that there is a way to dress and a way to talk and their are certain word you do not use because ladies and gentlemen do not dress a certain way and do not speak a certain way.
I think education is the answer for our nation…The only problem is that it takes so many years.  If we started right now it would take years before we would see the results.  But the sooner we start the the sooner we will see a better United States.

I found a new site HubPages.  It is a site that will let a person set up a blog and make some money from the blog.  I have no idea if it works or not.
There is a blog post by a prasetio30 called “Eight Blog Making Millions of Dollars.”

“What do you think if you have a blog and producing million dollar. Do you quit your daily job? buy a new car? build a big house? pay off your debts? put money into bank accounts? I know this is a difficult for me. Get million dollar from blogging. Just only expert people can do this. We know many blog produced thousand dollar. I will share about 8 eight blogs that making million dollars. I know many blogs produced thousand dollar out there…”

You can read the post but the sites that I have heard of are;  BoingBoing, Talkingpointmemo, Prezhilton, and TechCrunch.

Now back to HubPages…It looks to me more like Kola than a list of blogs.  It looks like articles written on a subject.    It feels very much to me like Knol

I found a blog, they call them “hubs”, on HubPages and it it a woman is saying that Barrack Obama is just like Castro.  She says:

“…Taxpayers dollars are being used to spread President Obama’s socialist ideology – the fact that school children across our nation will be forced to watch the president justify his plans not only goes against the beliefs of a great majority in the United States, but it is an abuse of power, as it allows him to bypass the childrens’ parents.  That’s not okay.

My kids are not yet in school, but if they were, I would be keeping them home on September 8th…”  Barrack Obama Propaganda in our Public Schools

I think that woman needs to get her kids in school soon.  They need to get away from her for sure.  Just our luck she will decide to home school them to protect them from being turned into Socialist.  That is just what we need more dumb votes in a few years.

There is another “hub” that is called “Top 7 Marxist Communist Policies Being Implemented by Obama Today.”
It is full of shit and lies.  I have to wonder if they believe this crap or is just an attack on a black president and they do not want to appear racist.  I find it hard to believe that they can believe that crap that they dump out on us.
I think it is time for the middle of the road normal decent Republicans to speak up an attack this sort of propaganda.  If the true decent Republicans do not speak up soon they are going to lose their party.  It looks like  the Republican party is going to become the new Nazi Party.

I have not been watching much TV but I was looking awhile ago and I am not sure what the channel was but there was John Hagee of the John Hagee ministries.  His church, in San Antonio (TX) was packed and not one empty seat in the church.
I heard the most crazy things coming out of his mouth….They showed the people in the chuch (Cornerstone Church) and they were smiling and clapping.  I did not see one person get up and heading for the door.
I was thinking God this is one more reason for me NOT to move to Texas.  John Hagee was talking about the “New World Order” and the “Gold Standard” and everything else.  It was one hundred percent right wing nut case talk.  I was waiting for some talk of religion.  He tossed in God’s blessing for his right wing followers at the end.
The first thing I was thinking… Well the first real thing… I was thinking… Why are people not getting up and walking out.  If he wants to preach about God great… But he was preaching his own version of history.  He was re-writing history.  Then he was telling lies big time.
I guess the second thing that came to mind…. I am thinking … This church should not be a “non-profit” organization.  It is front group for the right wing Republican nuts.
The sheep sitting in his “church” do not know history or they would not be in their seats…  They would be walking out of the church.

I think that is one of the problems with the United States.  People are not learning history.

Today is Labor Day in the United States.

“Labor Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 7 in 2009).

The holiday originated in Canada out of labor disputes ("Nine-Hour Movement") first in Hamilton, then in Toronto, Canada in the 1870s, which resulted in a Trade Union Act which legalized and protected union activity in 1872 in Canada. The parades held in support of the Nine-Hour Movement and the printers’ strike led to an annual celebration in Canada. In 1882, American labor leader Peter J. McGuire witnessed one of these labor festivals in Toronto. Inspired from Canadian events in Toronto, he returned to New York and organized the first American "labor day" on September 5 of the same year.

The first Labor Day in the United States was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City. In the aftermath of the deaths of a number of workers at the hands of the US military and US Marshals during the 1894 Pullman Strike, President Grover Cleveland put reconciliation with Labor as a top political priority. Fearing further conflict, legislation making Labor Day a national holiday was rushed through Congress unanimously and signed into law a mere six days after the end of the strike. Cleveland was also concerned that aligning a US labor holiday with existing international May Day celebrations would stir up negative emotions linked to the Haymarket Affair. All 50 U.S. states have made Labor Day a state holiday…”  Wikipedia

If we did not have a Labor Day I do not think you could ever get it made a national holiday.  That is sad.  It is sad that for most Americans it is just a day off from work.  They have no idea about the holiday.
With the unemployment rate almost 10% this is going to be a sad day for many Americans.
Each year I rave and rant about how the trade union movement has failed to tell their story and failed to connect with the American people.  I will not do it this year.
I hope next Labor Day the United States is better…Well not just the United States but the entire world.

On January 16, 2009, Google announced that Knol had grown to 100,000 articles, and users from 197 countries and territories visit Knol on an average day.

Knol pages are "meant to be the first thing someone who searches for this topic for the first time will want to read", according to Manber. The term knol, which Google defines as a "unit of knowledge", refers to both the project and an article in the project. Several experts see Knol as Google’s attempt to compete with Wikipedia, while others point out the differences between the projects…”   Wikipedia

“Pretty good iReport – the KC Star’s lead editorial this morning was along the same line but the mood is to do anything and everything possible to end Obama’s effectiveness. The right is like sharks smelling blood in the water – they’re in attack, attack, attack mode and there’s no reason or sense to most of it. Really shameful behavior. They’ll accuse "us" of doing the same to Bush but it doesn’t equate even though the left was hard on Bush and had no respect for him – that didn’t extend to this sort of total disruption of meetings and the name-calling and labeling that’s going on. There were some parallels and both sides to need to lower the rhetoric and stop the shouting. At the moment the right is far out ahead in the area of behaving badly.”

Here is the post I made:  Where is Al Franken
I am now a fan of Al Franken and it looks like my concerns about him were wrong.

Her is a video from YouTubeFranken Talks Down Angry Mob

Here is the remarks by the person that posted this video.

“I got to witness something really special. About a dozen tea party activists had staked out Sen. Al Franken’s booth, and confronted him loudly when he arrived. But within minutes, he’d turned an unruly crowd into a productive conversation on health care. The discussion went from insurance reform, to the public option, to veterans benefits, to cap and trade. He made a few laugh and even told a touching story that moved a few to tears. A whole lot of common ground was found.”
