I been saying for a long time that Glenn Beck is a total mental case. I fear he is going to hurt himself or others. He needs to see a doctor and he needs to be medicated. They need to make sure he takes his medication.
Now he is very popular with many TV viewers. His show, I find it hard to believe, is very popular. It gets great ratings.
I do not have cable TV and so I do not get Fox "news" or his TV show. From what I have heard he does not have any real advertisers!
Now I have seen this before… I commented on this blog many many years ago about it. Except it was about Rush Limbaugh. Yes, Rush Limbaugh used to be on television. I had a couple of friends that watched his TV show and loved him. They were telling me…begging me to watch Rush Limbaugh. I would say sometimes OK I will watch him until he says something stupid. I would sit about one minute and he would say something stupid and wrong and I would walk away from the TV set.
I told my friends he is not going to be on TV very long. They will take him off the air. They would say you are crazy his show is very popular. Then his TV show was moved to like midnight or one AM. I told them he is going off the air. They said no he is so popular and I told them look he has no advertisers. They would say he has advertisers and they would mention some company I never heard of. I would tell them that.. No he has no real advertisers and he will go off the TV. Well it was not long after that he was taken off of TV.
Do not feel sorry for him he was on the radio and has made millions from radio.

Well the great news was not so great. Pakistan did not get Adam Gadahn the American al Qaeda spokesman. See my post here about it: Adam Gadahn
Now if we would just listen to Glenn Beck he had the right idea. He said that anytime we get our hands on someone like this that right away we should
SHOOT THEM IN THE HEAD
He said to do it right away.. If we had followed his advice then this guy would be dead and in the ground and we would have him dead. I am not sure what we should do when he turned up with new videos.
Now we got this guy who is some farmer or something and we need to listen to our ex-vice president and the Republicans. We just water board the hell out of him. Hell it is not our fault that he looks like Adam Gadahn. It is his fault. Plus he does not believe in Jesus Christ and has a towel on his head … So just water board him until he confesses and it is my understand that if you water board someone they will tell you anything and everything to get you to stop. I know I would.. You even start to water board me and I will confess to being Adam Gadahn and sign or do anything you want.
So we can listen to Glenn Beck and shoot guys like this in the head RIGHT AWAY or we can listen to our ex-vice president and the Republicans and water board them and then ship there ass off to Gitmo.
So it is not big deal when we get the wrong guy.

It is interesting… Because of the far right Republicans, because of Faux News, the tea baggers and the sort of people at the Conservative Political Action Conference … John McCain and Ron Paul may end up not getting re-elected.
How odd and strange is that?
Hell Rep Ron Paul (R-TX) was the winner of the presidential poll at the CPAC meeting last week.
On John McCain I have said a lot of nice things about him. During the election when the bank/money/credit issue came up I said then he could win the election by taking a position that the bail out was wrong and let the banks and Wall Street stand or fall on their own. He did not do that. If he had said that I am not sure what would have happened to the United States. I think he would have been elected but God what might have happened to the nation.
But when he picked Sara Palin I lost all respect for him. What he did was to win the election with his age we could have ended up with her as President of the United States. How he could do something like that just was so un-like his life long service to the United States.
About Ron Paul I have said that he would make a great president IF this was 1800.
Trying to have a nation like George Washington had just will not work. This is not 1800 it is 2010. There have been a few changes to the United States and the world.
When you have crazy people in your party and they are out starting fires you never know who is going to get burned. I think that is what could happen to Republicans.
It is also interesting that some in the Republican party are starting to say..
that the crazy extremists are hurting the Republican party.
They are just now saying it after the CPAC meeting.
Remember before the CPAC meeting I was saying that Gingrich at the CPAC meeting should make a speech and tell the truth to the extremists and I said it would be a great hour for him…I said it would be the end of him in the Republican party but he would be a man of honor and everyone would be talking about him not just now but for all time. Well it seems I was wrong.. That would not gone over at the CPAC meeting and might have had to have security escort him out of the building but I was wrong.. About him being dead for all time.. Because right now others in the party are saying that something like that needs to be done.
I think it is going to be hard for the true Republicans to get control of their party back… Because Republicans tend to go for the easy anti-thinking scream and yell and cry and lie.. Just look at Faux News and Glenn Beck.
It is interesting. If you start a fire you may lose control of the fire and you never know who is going to get burned.

"Washington (CNN) — The Department of Homeland Security has more contractors working for it than full-time employees, a situation two members of Congress said Tuesday was "unacceptable, untenable and unsustainable."
Sen. Joseph Lieberman, the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and ranking Republican Susan Collins said they were "astounded" to learn there are more than 200,000 contractor employees at the department.
The civilian work force of Homeland Security numbers 188,000, according to an estimate provided to the senators by Homeland Security.
In a letter sent Tuesday to the agency’s Secretary Janet Napolitano, Lieberman and Collins said the figure "raises the question of whether DHS itself is in charge of its programs and policies, or whether it inappropriately has ceded core decisions to contractors."
Although Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut, and Collins of Maine noted that contractors can offer a variety of needed assets and skills to federal agencies, they called the current balance between federal employees and contractors at Homeland Security "unacceptable, untenable and unsustainable," according to the letter…"
I never was happy with President Bush’s idea of the DHS. I also did not like the man he picked to run it. I had no idea that the DHS had so few employees. I should have known that they would want to contract out jobs to non-government out side contractors.
Remember the big fight over airport screeners. The Republicans did not want them to be federal employees. President Bush did not want more FAA ATC employees and put us all in danger by trying not to hire more of them. He did get their pay cut. They did out source of the ATC jobs to a private company.
So the above finding will not set well with Republicans. They say they are interested in protecting the United States but the truth is they are only interested in protecting their seats in congress.
So I expect a fight over this issue…Glenn Beck, Faux News and the rest of them will say this is a Communist plot to set up a take over of the United States.
Contracting out jobs sounds like a good idea but I am not sure it ever turns out good. You lose good paying government jobs for American citizens. When you contract out the company bids the job and you take, most of the time, the company that bids the least. The company then hires in people and pays them as little as they can and then look for every way they can to pay them less and operate with fewer employees. Remember in this case we are talking about HOME LAND SECURITY. Let us say the contract is for two years. Well in two years you have other corporations, often non-US, that look at the people that got the last contract and they bid less to get the contract and it just keeps going down hill after that happens. If a new company gets the contract it is often out with the people that just learned out to do that job and in with new employees.
If you want to see how it works…Just take a look at the contract employees that did security at airports before 9/11. Take a look at the contract employees that guard federal employees. Many years ago their were bombings, remember the 60s, at federal buildings. So the federal government set up the Federal Protection Service. They were federal police officers to guard federal buildings. Well the Republicans had a fit over it. The bombing and problems at the federal buildings came to an end and Republicans demanded an end to the FPS. (There are still a few federal protection officers left over.) So they did away with the idea of federal officers protecting federal buildings and they have gone back to contract guards.
So I think we are going to see the same thing from the Republicans and the right wing this time. Except now the Republicans are going to say that President Obama, because he is a Communist, is going to want to hire young black thugs and put them into a federal army so he can complete his Communist take over of the United States.

For the first time in my life I went to Google Books. I did not have much of an idea what in the hell it was… But I just went to it and I decided to try it out so I picked “Life” magazine the April 12 issue of 1948 to check out.
I would have been 7 years old then and I could have seen the magazine and even read it at that age.
Well here I am at 67 years of age reading the magazine online.
I am shocked. I sort of knew that the magazine was right wing conservative but my God it is worst than Fox “news.”
Just as an example see this story in the issue: Wall Street Warfare
It is a story about a strike by the United Financial Employees union. It was a union for 5000 Wall Street stock exchange employees (like clerks).
I am not making this up you can read it with that link above the magazine calls some Seafarers International Union members “a squad of horny handed sailors. “ The police beat the workers for a “lie-down” tactic. That is the union members laid down to block the entrance to the stock exchange.
The magazine did not even make any attempt to be fair in their reporting.
The writing in the magazine is also very bad.
Oh something else I would like to mention… Those Seafarers union members…Keep in mind this was in 1948. WWII ended in 1945 and if I remember right the Seafarers union lost the most men in World War II. You were better off being in any branch of the military than being in the Merchant Marine. During WWII those “horny” Merchant Marine (Seafarers union members) died at a rate of 1 in 24 for the United States.
In 1988 President Reagan signed a bill into law granting veteran status to merchant mariners who served in WWII.
In the same issue you might want to read: The Democratic Plan to Draft Eisenhower. It says "President Harry Truman stands no chance of re-election." HST was re-elected by the way.
It also says that General Dwight D. Eisenhower has rejected a political career and is a man of integrity and his statement must be accepted. Of course Eisenhower did run four years later as a Republican and won.
Now I do know that Reader’s Digest was always very right wing conservative. I used to like read the magazine. It had some good stories it it and some nice features but they would toss in some right wing Republican conservative garbage in each issue and I just got fed up with the heavy handed unfair lies and I gave up reading it and still will never pick up an issue and read it to this day.

Today is the last day of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and today they will have Newt Gingrich, Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter speak.
I did have a great deal of respect for Newt Gingrich. I have commented many times here about how smart he is and that he is someone that I think you could work with if he was in the mood. I think today will be the last time I say anything good about Newt. I think he has been moving more and more to the crazy side in recent weeks or months.
Oh man would I love to have a Republican hero right now. I know it is not going to happen but oh I wish Newt would get up there and tell them the truth. It would mean the end of him holding any Republican office. But it would be a “profile in courage” moment. It would be like the statement to Senator McCarty of “have you no shame” and it would be like Edward R. Murrow on “See it Now.”
If I was Newt Gingrich and I could support my family after telling them the truth… GOD dam I would do it. It would be a speech and a moment that would never be forgotten. Plus he would be doing the right thing.. He would be a man of honor.. He would be doing the best thing for the United States of America AND he would be doing what is best for the Republican party.
Right now the Republican party is going down to major defeat. It may not happen in the next election but they are doing everything they can to put an end to the Republican party. It will be like after WWII and the Republicans hated FDR, Truman and big time Social Security. They could not get elected dog catcher for years and years. The only way they could get elected was to pretend they approved of Social Security and they had to stop calling FDR names. They still hated, and hate him today, FDR but they just did not broadcast it.
The same thing is going to happen to the Republican party.
Today if Newt Gingrich just went out there and told them the truth it would be a speech that would live for all time in American history. No one would be reporting on anything that Glenn Beck or Ann Coulter said. What a moment.. It will not happen… But God I would love to see it.
I am sure the big news is going to be Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter. Both of them are going to try and out do each other by saying things that are stupid and crazy and that turn on the crazy, un-medicated klan members sitting in front of them. Those people want to hear vile stupid and crazy things… They have heard so much of it that the speaker has to kick it up to the next level.
I have no idea if Glenn Beck or Ann Coulter will win in the crazy speech contest. Glenn Beck could go crazy right on the stag and start crying or pulling his hair out or breaking things or foaming at the mouth or hurt himself in some way. It should be an interesting speech.
Now Ann Coulter he she is very much in control and he she knows what he she is saying and I am sure it all planned out. It will be something over the edge. He She may call President Obama a nigger or gay or say something about his family. He She is just going to do something that will get his her name talked about on TV.
My guess is that Fox “news” will carry the speeches live. I do not get Fox “news” thank God. I think CSpan may carry it on the Internet and I could see the speeches. I think I will just wait for the news reports of the speeches.

I do not know if Chris Wallace rolled his eyes or not. I do not care. It was sort of dumb of Joe Scarborough to mention it.
Chris Wallace did a very bad job of interviewing Sara Palin. She came across as flat out stupid. She seems dumber each time I see her. Those training sessions that she is getting is not helping her and in fact will hurt her. She just does not have what it takes to understand the policies and the issues.
Faux News and Chris Wallace are pushing her. She is the person they want to run for some reason. I am not sure if they think it will help ratings or if they are stupid enough to think that she might win and then they would have their person as President of the United States or what.
But as a liberal Democrat I hope they keep it up. I hope she runs in 2012. She is a fool and it is plain clear and easy to see. Sure if she runs she will get the hard core right wing born again Republican vote. She will get about 30% of the vote. Those people will vote for anyone. Dear God, PLEASE let her run in 2012. She does not know her ass from a hole in the ground.
I love it. Fox “news” keep pushing her to run. Keep covering for her. Keep it up Please I BEG you.
Now .. a question for the readers. Do you think he rolled his eyes or not?

I love it when someone stands up to these right wing nuts. It is to bad they cut him off and did not let Lawrence O’Donnell vent on this ass hole.
I am surprised that Joe was so upset by someone making such good points. I think a good interviewer or host would want the truth to come out and we were close to seeing it happen but Joe got upset for some reason. I guess it did not fit in with his views and made to much sense.
Also how is what Lawrence O’Donnell said and how he said it going “nuts.” He was talking to Marc Thiessen a liar in the past, a liar now and a liar tomorrow.
You do not sit there and act like there are two sides to this issue.
“Marc A. Thiessen (born 1967) is an American author and journalist, who served as a speechwriter for the United States President George W. Bush (2004-2009) and Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld (2001–2004). Previously, Thiessen was a spokesman and senior policy advisor to Senator Jesse Helms (1995–2001). He is currently a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution.
Thiessen’s article appeared at the Los Angeles Times, National Review, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Weekly Standard, USA Today and other publications. He also appeared on Fox News, CNN, NPR, and other media outlets. In 2009, The Daily Telegraph recently named Thiessen one of the "100 most influential conservatives in America."
Thiessen is the author of Courting Disaster: How the CIA Kept America Safe and How Barack Obama Is Inviting the Next Attack published by Regnery Publishingin January 2010. The book is endorsed by the former Vice President Dick Cheney,[1] former Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld,[2] and former Attorney GeneralMichael Mukasey.[3][4]
Thiessen grew up in Upper East Side in Manhattan, where both his parents were doctors. His mother grew up Poland and fought as a teenager in the Warsaw Uprising, a military struggle in which his grandfather died.[5] Thiessen is a graduate of the Taft School (1985), a private prep school in Connecticut. He did his undergraduate studies at Vassar College (BA in 1989), and post-graduate studies at the Naval War College. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife Pamela and their four children.” Wikipedia

As the blizzard-bound residents of the mid-Atlantic region get ready to dig themselves out of the third major storm of the season, they may stop to wonder two things: Why haven’t we bothered to invest in asnow blower, and what happened to climate change? After all, it stands to reason that if the world is getting warmer – and the past decade was the hottest on record – major snowstorms should become a thing of the past, like PalmPilots and majority rule in the Senate. Certainly that’s what the Virginia state Republican Party thinks: theGOP aired an ad last weekend that attacked two Democratic members of Congress for supporting the 2009 carbon-cap-and-trade bill, using the recent storms to cast doubt on global warming. (See pictures of the massive blizzard in Washington, D.C.)
Brace yourselves now – this may be a case of politicians twisting the facts. There is some evidence that climate change could in fact make such massive snowstorms more common, even as the world continues to warm. As the meteorologist Jeff Masters points out in his excellentblog at Weather Underground, the two major storms that hit Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., this winter – in December and during the first weekend of February – are already among the 10 heaviest snowfalls those cities have ever recorded. The chance of that happening in the same winter is incredibly unlikely.
But there have been hints that it was coming. The 2009 U.S. Climate Impacts Report found that large-scale cold-weather storm systems have gradually tracked to the north in the U.S. over the past 50 years. While the frequency of storms in the middle latitudes has decreased as the climate has warmed, the intensity of those storms has increased. That’s in part because of global warming – hotter air can hold more moisture, so when a storm gathers it can unleash massive amounts of snow. Colder air, by contrast, is drier; if we were in a truly vicious cold snap, like the one that occurred over much of the East Coast during parts of January, we would be unlikely to see heavy snowfall.(See pictures of the effects of global warming.)
Climate models also suggest that while global warming may not make hurricanes more common, it could wellintensify the storms that do occur and make them more destructive. (Comment on this story.)
But as far as winter storms go, shouldn’t climate change make it too warm for snow to fall? Eventually that is likely to happen – but probably not for a while. In the meantime, warmer air could be supercharged with moisture and, as long as the temperature remains below 32°F, it will result in blizzards rather than drenching winter rainstorms. And while the mid-Atlantic has borne the brunt of the snowfall so far this winter, areas near lakes may get hit even worse. As global temperatures have risen, the winter ice cover over the Great Lakeshas shrunk, which has led to even more moisture in the atmosphere and more snow in the already hard-hitGreat Lakes region, according to a 2003 study in the Journal of Climate. (Read "Climate Accord Suggests a Global Will, if Not a Way.")
Ultimately, however, it’s a mistake to use any one storm – or even a season’s worth of storms – to disprove climate change (or to prove it; some environmentalists have wrongly tied the lack of snow in Vancouver, the site of the Winter Olympic Games, which begin this week, to global warming). Weather is what will happen next weekend; climate is what will happen over the next decades and centuries. And while our ability to predict the former has become reasonably reliable, scientists are still a long way from being able to make accurate projections about the future of the global climate. Of course, that doesn’t help you much when you’re trying to locate your car under a foot of powder.
See TIME’s special report on the Copenhagen climate-change summit.

I saw a little bit of the Chris Wallace interview with Sarah Palin. I am not sure why I watched it… I guess I wanted to see if he got an erection during the interview. He was so excited the other day on Imas and on Fox “news” talking about how hard he had be going after her to get an interview with her and how excited he was that now he was going to get to get to interview her. He even talked about how he would like for her to sit on his lap!
I guess that is why I attempted to watch the interview.
Well I did not see an erection. I think you have to be male to get an erection and that would leave Chris Wallace out.
I also did not expect to see her sitting on his lap.. I was sort of thinking that he might sit on her lap.. I think that is where the bitch sits.
Chris Wallace is the son of Mike Wallace now he was one hell of an interviewer. Man I would love to see what an interview by Mike Wallace was like of Sarah Palin and others. His son is no Mike Wallace.
True is I did not see enough of the interview to know how well Chris Wallace did at asking questions of Sarah Palin but given the fact that he has the hots for her.. I do not see how we could expect him to do a good job.

What in the heck is going on over at Fox “news?” I think they are going nuts over there.
“On Thursday’s "Imus in the Morning," Don Imus and Chris Wallace joked about Sarah Palin sitting on Wallace’s lap when she appears on "FOX News Sunday" this weekend.
"When you interview her, will she be sitting your lap?" Imus asked.
"One can only hope," Wallace replied.
Wallace had previously compared Palin to a whale he’s been chasing for over a year.
"We’ve been chasing her like Captain Ahab and the Great White Whale for the last year-in-a-half," he said.
Palin will appear on Wallace’s show from the Tea Party Convention in Nashville.”

“The program starts at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time with the latest Fox News Live headlines and analyzes the news of the morning. It continues with many different segments including interviews, updates of news stories with correspondents at any number of bureaus, analysis from the hosts, and many different regular morning show segments. Fox & Friends evolved from Fox X-press, FNC’s original morning-news program.
The show also has a list of regular contributors, including Dr. Manny Alvarez with "Ask Dr. Manny" and "Dr. Manny’s Healthbeat," two regular health segments, Mancow Muller with a short chat session towards the end of the weekday edition of the program, and any number of other contributors.
After the September 11, 2001, attacks, an additional hour was added to the beginning of the weekday show, but branded as a separate program called Fox & Friends First. It was the first FNC program to air live for the day, starting at 6:00 a.m. It was discontinued on July 13, 2008 and replaced with an additional hour of Fox & Friends. (Such a change, however, is only cosmetic: Both shows were both produced by the same staff and cycled the same anchors, the only difference being the graphics package.)..”

“By MICHAEL KUNZELMAN, Associated Press Writer Michael Kunzelman, Associated Press Writer – Tue Jan 26, 10:08 pm ET
NEW ORLEANS – A hero of conservatives who bruised the liberal group ACORN by posing as a pimp on hidden camera is now accused in an attempt to tamper with phone lines at Democratic U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office inside a federal building.
It’s not clear what James O’Keefe, 25, and three other young conservatives were trying to accomplish Monday at the New Orleans office of Landrieu, who has been criticized for securing more Medicaid benefits for her state in exchange for her support on health care legislation.
State Democrats quickly called the alleged plot a "Louisiana Watergate," but federal officials have not yet said why the men wanted to interfere with Landrieu’s phones, whether they were successful, or even if the goal was political espionage.
A staff member in the office told the FBI that two of the suspects, including the son of an acting U.S. Attorney, wore white hard harts, tool belts and flourescent vests and said they needed to fix a problem with the phone system.
According to an FBI affidavit, O’Keefe was already sitting in the waiting area and recorded the men on his cell phone when they walked in…”
I had cable TV when James O’Keefe went into an ACORN pretending to be a pimp with his ho and video taped a couple of dumb ACORN employees.
I remember Fox News raving about how great this guy was and what a great reporter he was and how he should do more things like this … And now…
They guy was stupid for the ACORN thing and it was all very stupid. I did not think it was something that you would want to brag about or something that should get any attention. His “story” did a number on ACORN however and the right wing and Fox News loved this guy. I can remember the reporters on Fox News were so happy and so excited I think some of the woman reporters had wet panties and the male reporters were hard.
It sounds like these guys are in deep shit. Entering a federal building to wire tap a United States (Democratic) member of congress.
It is going to be an interesting case. I think these guys are super stupid. I do not think Fox News is so stupid that they would say something to them to get them to do it. I am sure Fox News did not say go and commit a felony but it is possible that someone with Fox News said great work.. See if you can get more stories like this and we will hire you or pay you or something.. I bet they are a bit scared that some Fox employee might have just said something like that.. I do not think they did.. But it could get interesting.
The way our legal system works … My recommendation would be to hit them with a lot of charges and try and get them to plead guilty to one and serve a very short time in jail. My fear would be … that if the case goes to a jury that if there is one person on the jury that is a Fox News fan and if he thinks that the charge was political to get this guy then the guy might walk on the charge. So I would try and scare the hell out of them with a lot of charges and pray they plead guilty one them.
I do not care if they go to jail. They are just a bunch of smart ass stupid right wing fools. We might be better off with them out running around doing stupid things like this.

“Washington (CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has signed a deal with Fox News to appear as a contributor on the network, a source with knowledge of the agreement confirms to CNN.
There are no plans for Palin to anchor her own program, the source said.
Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, is considered to be a potential 2012 White House contender. “
This is so funny and so sad. What can she contribute? Well she can get viewers for Fox “news” but she is not an expert in any area. We know she does not read magazines or books or follow the news. She is a joke.
She will fit in with some of the other contributors but she will the dumbest of them all.
This is not a smart move for her. She is going to run for president.
There will be video of her on Fox “news” making stupid statements that the Democrats can use. What is sad is that the viewers of Fox “news” will think that it is great wisdom and hang on each word.
She will run for president and get 30% of the vote. She will lose and take a lot of Republicans down with her.
I pray to God that she does run. It does not matter to me that she is on Fox “news.” I do not have cable TV. Well I do not have TV. I do not own a television set.
