Roger Ebert's Journal is excellent.  Great writing.  He is a great movie reviewer and he writes a great blog.

A few hours ago I logged into TMZ and saw the above photo.  I read the story about TMZ had just got the photo of President John F. Kennedy on a boat filled with nude woman.
TMZ said the photo was real and not a fake and that they had their "experts" study the photo and they all said it was real and not a fake and not a PhotoShop photo.
Well they now admit it was a fake.  The photo is from a 1967 Playboy photo shoot.
If I were TMZ I would take my "TMZ" logo off the fake photo right now.
I would also NEVER use those "experts" again.
Truth is I think most experts and even ones that go into our can not be trusted. I do not believe hand writing "experts", voice "experts", lie detection "experts" and all the rest of them.  I think we have a problem in court with "expert" witness giving information.  We need to do something about it.

I will still be reading TMZ.  They have a pretty good record of stealing private medical records and doing all sorts of things like that… OH sorry.. They do not steal the information they just buy it from people that steal it.

From time to time I pass on to you great sites that I find on the Internet.  I found another site that I like.  It is IntelliReviewWhen I am thinking about buying something I often try and find reviews of it and I often go to Amazon.Com and the reviews left by customers.

  intellireview

"See the Best, Skip the RestTM

IntelliReview shows the products with the most consumer passion. What is consumer passion? Consumer passion is about consumers loving their products and sharing their good experience with others. Our patent-pending algorithm identifies the products people are passionate about, the products receiving tons of 4-5 star reviews.

Utilizing a new Digg-style ranking for products, IntelliReview leverages the power of the people to pick the best item in any shopping category. Simply put, a positive review translates into a positive vote and a negative review translates into a negative vote. Only the best products make it to the top. The system works because people only write reviews when they're really happy or really upset with a product. By filtering out products with average and negative reviews, you get a quick and accurate look at your best choices – the products with the most number of four and five star reviews…"

findagrave

I think this is a great idea.  You can find graves plus you can request to have someone find a grave of a family member for you and send you a photo of the grave.  You can find graves for people in your area.
It is all free.  The site is Find A Grave.

Aviary zarya-info Picture 1

I found a very interesting site.  It is Zarya and is about the Soviet, Russian and international space flights.  Those early days were so much fun.  This site has lots of information and facts.  It is in English.
If you like the space program and most of all if you were around for the early days of the space program I think you will love this site.

When I did my radio program on WRUL radio a long time ago…Each week I would play the sounds from space from a 45 rpm by Elmo Melton.  I can not remember his ham call sign.  He allowed me to play the sounds each week.  He was a very nice guy.  I hope someone has that 45 rpm and converts it to digital and saves it some place.
If you are a ham with old call books it would have been round 1959 is my guess.  I am sure he was listed in many of the call books around those years.
