“A 14-year-old boy is confessing to police in Colorado that he killed his mother and step-dad to avoid doing daily chores.

The boy, John Caudle, is taking responsibility for the deaths of Joanne Rinebarger and her husband Tracy Rinebarger.

He says he killed his mother because he did not want to take out the trash and then waited for his step-dad in the closet before shooting him multiple times.

He was arrested the next day 130 miles from the crime scene driving the couple’s pickup truck.

  I guess it is not so funny.  Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab had PETN (Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate) and I never heard of it and had to look it up.  It is a very powerful explosive chemical and hard to detect.  This is the same stuff that the shoe bomber had in his shoe.
  It looks to me like we need to worry, here in the United States, about the lone nutcase.  The guy that has mental problems but contacts terrorist organization.  It is an organization that would never want the guy as a member but they are willing to give the guy something like PETN and tell him how to use it.  Then they wash their hands of the fool.
  We got a lot of people like that right here in the United States.  With the Internet I am sure it is easy for them to make contact with terrorists.
  Of course I would bet dollars to donuts that the CIA and FBI have websites set up calling for death to the United States and they are in fact FBI/CIA sites.  I bet it is that way with web sites, blogs and message boards.  If you are a want to be terrorist I bet you are communiating with Homeland Security.
  But it just takes one mental subject to make the right contact with a real terrorist and we got problems.
  Every President of the United States that has been killed was always by some nutcase that everyone knew was nuts. 
  We need better education in the United States.  We need heath care for everyone in the United States.  We need improved mental health services. We have to many people with mental problems running around that can not get treatment and medication. 
  We need better gun control in the United States and I am NOT talking about taking guns away from Americans.  We just need some better controls.  We need back ground investigations done before a person can buy a hand gun.  The instant checks suck.  We need records to be on file and the ability to access those files.  I am not sure how we handle the matter of privacy with regards to mental problems.  From reading the news it seems to me that we have people that clearly have mental problems but they can still go out and buy a gun. 
  I think right now the biggest "terrorist" problem we have is the lone nut case running around with a gun and now I guess PETN.

  CNN reports that Fort Hood is going to tighten security.  This is what I call knee-jerk security.  Something happens and then you change security.  I worked, part time, for one hospital for one year.  I worked the midnight shift and most of the time we had three officers on duty.  If someone had a day off or was sick then we only had two officers.  One officer had to be in dispatch at all times.  This was a high crime area of Kansas City.  Well before I went to work for them their was a crime in the parking garage so we  had an order to have an officer go at 0500 and park on level five of the garage.  So you would sit there for two hours.  Then something happened (stealing) on the ground level of the garage and we were ordered to sit there for two hours.  Then after I quit the hospital they had someone walk into the business area of the hospital and walk off with a bag filled with money and they made a change… So it went over and over again.  Knee-jerk security and this is what I see happening all over now days in all areas.
  I am not looking to blame anyone but security at a military base should always be at a very high level.  It should be higher than if you are traveling by air.  That is just the way it should be at a military base.
 
  I think part of our problem is that we depend so much on our reserve forces.  We should not be depending on state national guard units.  We should not even be depending on our reserve units so much.  We need a full time large well paid first class professional military force.  Do not get me wrong I am not saying that the national guard and reserve units are not professional.  Those forces should be reserve and back up units as sort of a last resort. 
 
  I can understand that a military base wants to have good PR with a community and most of all when it is a small community.  But a military base is a military base and not a community social club.

  Today November 22nd a day many of us will never forget… The day that President John F. Kennedy was killed in Dallas.
  That was 46 years ago and I was a young man living in Kansas City… Now I am an old man living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  People of my age can not forget this date.

Can you remember what you were doing 45 years ago? I have problems remembering what I was doing yesterday.
But I can remember what I was doing 45 years ago today. I can remember and will remember until I die what I was doing on November 22, 1963. I was at home listening to WRUL Radio New York Worldwide on a shortwave radio when I heard the announcement that shots had been fired at the motorcade of President John F. Kennedy.

  I could fill a blog with just shoots like the above.  These are all recent. 
I am not trying to pull any tricks or play with stats.  These things happen every day.
  Keep in mind that these sort of shootings are trained police officers.  Think how much danger we are all in from the guy down the street that has a small penis so he wants a gun to make up for it.

  A homeowner holding an intruder at gunpoint is “accidentally” shot six times by a police officer.  Here is a CNN video about the event.
  A number of points I would like to make…I can see both sides on this issue…The homeowner was armed with a gun and pointing it a person. The police officer sees a person with a gun and it looks like he is getting ready to shoot.  The police officer has no way of knowing that it is the homeowner holding an intruder. 
  Again I feel very sorry for the homeowner and I can understand his point of view…Someone broke into his home and he has two children to protect…He should have told the police dispatcher that he was armed and holding the intruder.
  There are cases of police officers shooting each other…Because they did not know the other person was a police officer. 
  If you have a gun and are not in uniform in our out of your home you are in danger if you have contact with the police or with someone else that is armed.
  I was doing a building check one time…I had found an open door…I was a security officer and the one that found the open door…It was a very big building (King Radio in Overland Park, KS) and I called the Overland Park Police.  An officer came and was checking the building with me and he decides to go off on his own with out telling me and then comes through another door and there I am and he points his gun at me.  Thank God he did not shoot me six times.
  Oh,  I object to the statement that the police officer “accidentally” shot the guy six time.  It is not like his gun went off by accident.
  One more thing…There is no rule that you have to “give a warning” to someone that is armed.  I always gave a warning to someone “…SECURITY…drop the gun…down on the ground mother fucker or I will blow your brains out…”  You can replace “security” with “police” depending on where I was working at the time.  The “mother fucker” is not taught in the police academy but you get the idea.  I never shot anyone but I had a few people armed.

  I can understand a person wanting to have a gun to protect their home… But guns do not make you safer.  I do not know who the “intruder” was in this case it may have been a young kid who was not armed.  True if you live in Texas you could have shot him dead and got away with going to jail.  You will find yourself  in civil court and paying out a lot of money and that can be so bad that I have heard put say they wish they had been shot instead of shooting someone.
  Again.. I support the right of a person to own a gun to protect their home.  I am sure you are not safer with a gun at home but you may feel and think you are safer and that is worth something to you.
  I do not support the right of people to walk around public city streets carrying a deadly weapon.  I do not support the right of a person to go in a business place with a weapon if the owners have posted a sign saying no firearms allowed.

  I think the problem is when you have guns around like this and then someone gets mad or upset the first thing they do is get the gun.  This sort of thing happens to often.

"(CNN) — Soccer mom Melanie Hain, who made national headlines last year by having a loaded, holstered handgun at her 5-year-old daughter’s soccer game, has been found shot dead in her home along with her husband, police said Thursday.

Information from 911 calls shows that it took a SWAT team nearly an hour and a half to gain entry to the Lebanon, Pennsylvania, home Wednesday evening. Inside, they found the bodies of Hain, 31, and her husband, Scott, 33, police Capt. Daniel Wright said.

Police have avoided labeling the incident a murder-suicide. However, they do not believe that another person was involved, Wright said. A full investigation is under way, he added..".

  Surprise surprise…NOT.  
  The only question is what sort of spin will the NRA put on this now.  If she shot her husband they will say that if he had been armed it would not have taken place.  If he shot her then they will say if she had been armed it would not have taken place.
  No matter what the truth is in the deaths…The NRA will never admit that having guns around is THE major reason for gun deaths.  If the husband killed his wife…They will say…Well he could have used a baseball bat to kill her and then he could have beat himself to death with the same baseball bat.

  Yahoo News has the story on the Supreme Court taking up the Chicago ban on handguns. 

“WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court says it will take up a challenge to Chicago’s ban on handguns, opening the way for a ruling that could set off a vigorous new campaign to roll back state and local gun controls across the nation.

Victory for gun-rights proponents in the Chicago case is considered likely, even by supporters of gun control, in the latest battle in the nation’s long and often bitter dispute over the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. A ruling against the city’s outright ban could lead to legal challenges to less-restrictive laws across the country that limit who can own guns, whether firearms must be registered and how they should be stored.

The case is to be argued early next year…”

There is a video over on YouTube about a guy getting stopped by the police.  He was walking around with a gun on his hip.  It is an open carry city or state so it is legal to walk around with a gun.  But some people called 911 and the police did a check on him and put him on the ground at gun point until they found out that he was just out walking around with a gun.  They gave him his gun back and he went on his way.

Lots of comments on the video.  I made a few comments and all of a sudden got in a debate with a guy in the comment section.  Not sure why I got in the debate.  You do not have enough room to debate and you can not put links etc.

  Correction…the nutty “Pastor” Steven L. Anderson did not say that CNN got the number attending his church wrong he was saying that a Fox TV station got the number wrong.  They reported 30 attended his church and he says there were 49 people at the church. 
  I think the difference in the numbers might be that he is counting himself, his wife and his child and he is also counting the people in the church from law enforcement that are now watching him.

  I went to Pastor Steven L. Anderson’s church web site and I listened to sermon “Why I Hate Barack Obama.”  One thing that I found interesting was that I had seen a short interview with him and he said he did not believe in “violence” being used…But in his sermon he explains that it is NOT violence to kill someone that God hates.  It is not violence to kill someone like President Obama!
  Below is a video he made about CNN.  He is saying that they fear him and do not want to put him on CNN because he is preaching God’s word and the can not stand up to it.  If anyone listens to all of his sermon they can tear him apart.  He has no defense. 
  Now should CNN put someone like him on TV?  I am not sure…He is calling for someone to kill the President of the United States.  How many million viewer does CNN have?  How many of those people are major mental problems?  How many have not taken their medication.
  Pastor Steven L. Anderson is also upset that CNN said he had 30 or so people at his church and he say he had 40 or so people at his church.
  I think CNN was counting real members of his church and not city, state and federal police informers.
  With Pastor Steven L. Anderson calling for someone to kill President Obama I will bet money that everyone that has any contact with him or  his church will have a file with law enforcement and those people will be checked out and watched. 
  Now on the subject of him being “gay”…I have been told by a number of people that I do not have a gaydar.  In fact someone said that one time and I had to ask what it was…I guess it is the ability to detect a gay person.
  I have to admit…I am not good at it for some reason…I guess I tend not to judge people.
  Well when I saw the following video.. I think he is gay big time and that could be at the heart of his problem.

  Pastor Steven L. Anderson is in the news right now.  He is pastor of a small church in Arizona with less than 100 members.  He HATES Barack Obama and he is praying that the President of the United States dies. 
  One thing interesting to me is that this is not the first time I have told you about this pastor here in ShowMeBlog. 

    I told you about this guy in April of this year here in ShowMeBlog.  
    Here is part of what I said about Pastor Steven L. Anderson in April of this year.

“OK now he has a Basic soul-winning demo video.  If you watch that your going to see that he is an ass-hole.  First let me say when the people come to my door and wake me up and ask me to come to their church or want to preach to me or something I am so nice to them. 
  BUT when they come to my door and wake me up after I worked the midnight shift, like they did in Belton, I am still nice to them.  I am a real nice guy BUT when the guy says can I ask you a question…I just knew there was going to be a problem…He asked if you die now do you know where you are going?  I gave him them my answer and they almost fell off my porch and they took off running and screaming and not looking back.
  So when I see his demo…The fucking truth is I am GLAD the police beat him.
  If you check out his web site you will find him preaching that people should not go to doctors. 
He preaches that the only nudity allowed is between husband and wife.  It is not allowed any other place and not even in front of a doctor. 
  He says it is evil and a sin for a person to be a male OB/GY doctor.
  Of course he hates gays.  He hates Catholics and the Catholic Church and well hell he hates everyone.
  You know this guy is going to take a lot of beatings.  At least that is how I see it.”

  What do you get when you have two students drinking and playing with guns?  You get a dead student.

  Two students think it will be funny to point a gun at another student.  He comes out the bathroom and they both point a gun at him and both pull the trigger.  One of the guns was loaded.  
  You never NEVER point a gun at a person unless you plan to kill them.  Even if you think the gun is unloaded.. Even if you know the gun is not loaded.  Even if you take the ammo out or take the clip out …You NEVER point a gun at a person.
    These two men are college students?  If I ran the college I would kick them both out and take away any college credit that the “earned.”
     Both are out on bond at this time.

My problem with the gun lobby and the NRA and the pro gun people is that they lie.  They tell you about the very rare case of someone using a gun to protect themself but they never admit that there are a thousand of cases like this each day… Of people killing themself with a gun or shooting someone else..
I was a member of the NRA for years but that was a long time ago.. just at the point when they decided that they could make tons of money by “protecting gun owner rights” … I remember one day I got the National Rifleman and was reading it and they told of case of someone using a gun in self defense and even it was not a very good story…It had a few holes in it… And that very day in Kansas City there were three stories of people being shot and killed by error.  One was a kid got hold of a gun and shot his father in the head when he was sleeping.  It was a small child…I am sure he was just playing guns…There was a case of one kid shooting another kid.  They were friends and playing with the gun.  One was a case …a store clerk.. Had a homeless guy come in with mental problems and the guy stole something… It was gum or candy or something and the homeless guy ran outside and the store clerk ran after him and shot him dead in the parking lot.
That was when I decided to cancell my NRA membership.
They are not honest.  They lie.  They should just tell the truth… Part of the truth is that guns cost many more lives than they save.  You are in much more danger if you have a weapon in your home.

Now a dozen protesters carrying weapons demonstrate at a President Obama event and one of them is carrying an assault rifle. 
   See the CNN story.   
   This is serious, scary and silly.  What is the next step in all of this?  What are the pro Obama people going to start doing?  Some of his left wing supporter may bring day old vegetarian subs.  Of course the foot long ones with very hard bread.  Blacks may start bringing weapons…They know how to be armed and have easy access to high power weapons. Hispanic supporters may show up with knives.  I do not think we will worry much about any Swiss protesters. I do not think they make a large Swiss army knife.  (I know this is racist. Smile – Just trying to put a little humor into a subject that is not funny at all.)
    I do fear that anti-gun protesters may try and do something that may cause fighting and no telling what might happen.  What if some people decide to protest the gun nuts by doing something to the guns.  If they decided to try and mark the guns in some way … spray paint them or something… I have had some friends that were very nice people…But I think if you tried to put a scratch or dent on their gun they would kill you right on the spot.  If you do not know a gun nut then you may find it hard to believe that a person can go from being a decent human to a raging demon.

  This is a little better interview of William Kostric.

  He would like to have seen 100 people at that event carrying guns. 

  The guy doing the interview is Dave Ridley and it sounds like from the interview that they are both members of the Free State Project. 
  THe project is a movement to get 20,000 people that think the way they do to move to New Hampshire to have power and effect in the small state for their goals and aims.  I would call it a state’s right party.  I think what they are looking to set up was decided in 1864.  I do not think they can change history but no question about it…they can have an effect in a small state like NH.  In fact they already have had a guy elected to the New Hampshire General Cout and six “Free Staters” elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. 
  In the interview William Kostric says that the local police were nice to him.  The chief of police even called a church and got permission for him to stand on their ground.  
  You can read between the lines and hear that William Kostric does not like the police. 
  These people are going to be a problem for NH.  It is clear they plan to get as much control of the state as they can.  That is why they picked NH.  They picked a state that they think they can take over.  I suspect they may bet the job done.
