Left wing liberal college scientists lie again.  They lie about everything.  You can not believe any person with an education.  No this lie is not about the so called "global warming."

This lie is in a CNN story called "Scientists reaffirm theory that giant asteroid killed dinosaurs."

"(CNN) — A team of scientists has agreed that a giant asteroid killed off dinosaurs and a majority of other species on Earth more than 65 million years ago.

The researchers analyzed evidence and agreed it supports a single-impact theory first proposed 30 years ago on the cause of the mass extinction.

Since 1980, scientists have gathered an overwhelming amount of evidence that shows a single asteroid about 6 miles in diameter and traveling at 45,000 miles a second, slammed into the Gulf of Mexico, said Richard Norris, a paleoceanographer at the University of California San Diego.

The impact caused a crater 24 miles deep and 125 miles wide, according to Norris, who was part of the research team…"

If you believe in Jesus Christ our lord and savior and if you believe in his holy word as written in our blessed bible and if you have been home schooled then you know that they are wrong because the earth is only 6,000 years old and so an asteroid could not have hit here 65 million years ago.
In fact using the Scripture we know for a fact that the earth is only 6,000 years old.  God created the earth in about 4000 BC.

These lies are why the people of the book need to take over local boards of education and why they need to make the United States the Christian nation it was founded to be

"Washington (CNN) — Former Vice President Dick Cheney suffered a mild heart attack Monday when he complained of chest pains and was hospitalized, his office said Tuesday.

"Lab testing revealed evidence of a mild heart attack," the statement said. "He underwent a stress test and a heart catheterization. He is feeling good and is expected to be discharged in the next day or two."

During the catheterization, which took place at George Washington University Hospital, doctors examined blood flow to the heart and tested how well the heart was pumping.

In the procedure, a doctor inserts a catheter, a thin plastic tube, into an artery or vein in the arm or leg and threads it into the chambers of the heart or into the coronary arteries. The test can measure blood pressure within the heart and how much oxygen the blood contains.

Two sources said Tuesday that Cheney, 69, was in his hospital room, where he had lunch with family members. He also was working with them editing a chapter of a book he is writing.

He was described as being in good spirits…"

As you know I am NO fan of Dick Cheney.  But thank God I am a better person than many right wing Republicans.  Many right wing Republicans have been praying for Democrats in congress to die.  Even some have been praying for the President of the United States to die.
I wish no harm to fall on Dick Cheney and I have not been praying for him to die.
Now I have not been praying for his good health but that is because I do not pray for things like that anymore.  The last time I can remember praying for something like that was when I was in a Catholic high school and prayed all day at school and on the bus heading home.  I was praying that my dog, Lady, would be OK.  She had been sick and my dad refused to spend money to have a vet check her.
I found her dead in front of the ice box when I got home.  I think I decided then that praying for the heath of a dog was not a good idea.

"Washington (CNN) — Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has notified Congress of plans to allow women to serve aboard submarines, a Defense Department official said Tuesday.

Letters of intent were sent Monday to Congress, which has requested briefings on the matter, said the official, who asked not to be identified. There will be no vote on the matter in Congress.

The change was recommended by the chief of naval operations and the secretary of the Navy in addition to Gates, the official said, adding that there was no opposition to the move among Navy leaders.

A phased approach is being considered under which officers — who already have separate living quarters — would be the first to go co-ed, followed by crews, with the women bunking together, the official said. Crew space would have to be modified prior to that happening, the official added.

The submarines expected to carry women initially would be the larger ones — nuclear-power, missile-carrying submarines known as SSBN and SSGN, the official said…"

If you know me then you know I am a big bleeding heart left wing liberal.  If it is a left wing cause then I am for it right?  I do not know about putting women in sub crews.  I was never in the navy or even the military but I have seen a couple of TV shows on CSpan and other stations about subs.  There is not much living space.
I guess I got to go with what the military experts say about the issue but I worry about it.
I also have seen reports on the news about the problems woman are having in the military and that is not even on a small ship out at sea for a long time.  I think this will be an issue that some on the right wing get upset over because many of them do not even think a woman should be working…They think she should be at home following the orders of her husband and home schooling the kids so that government does not turn them into Communist.

You don’t have to be Catholic to recognize that the Lenten season is a time to reflect on our shortcomings and limitations. But for Christians, it is also a time to remember Christ’s invitation to transform the world in which we live. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has been working to transform the world we live in by empowering low-income people in the struggle for economic justice.

Despite the critical mission of CCHD, the Catholic Right is now trying to discredit the program and take away its funding. Just last week, a coalition of anti-social justice groups launched a petition campaign calling on the U.S. Catholic Bishops to suspend all national CCHD grants.

Will you take a moment and join with thousands of fellow Catholics in support of the social justice ministry of the Catholic Church?

In order to counter the efforts of the Catholic Right effectively, we need to reach as many conscientious people as possible. 4,000 people have already signed the petition in support of CCHD, and that number continues to rise. But the Catholic Right will not stop its attack on social-justice minded Catholics until it wins – or until enough of us fight back.

At the beginning of this Lenten season, will you join with Catholics United in defending one of the most important social justice ministries of the Catholic Bishops?

Once we reach a critical mass, we’ll personally hand-deliver your signatures to the leadership of CCHD and the U.S. Catholic Bishops’ executive committee. Please join our campaign today.

Sincerely,

- Chris, James, and the rest of the Catholics United team

I said we would have some wild and crazy talk coming out of the Tea Bag Convention.  The convention just come to an end yesterday but I been expecting to see a lot of video clips of stuff.  Here is the only one I can find so far.  It is of Tom Tancredo you can see it and decided what you think.
I think that Tom Tancredo is a fool and I wonder if he has mental health problems.  How can the guy be so stupid to think that his nation was founded to be a Christian nation. That is just what our founders did not want… They said this up to be a nation were religion would not rule.  They wanted people to have the freedom to worship or not worship and they wanted no state religion.  How can someone like Tom Tancredo get it so wrong.

Tom Tancredo is a former Republican congressman.  He attempted to become the 2008 Republican nomine. (He did not get it. smile)

I have seen this guy on TV a lot for some reason.  Each time you see him you wonder how can this guy be so stupid.  I do not think he is stupid.  I suspect some sort of mental problems.  If that is the case I hope he can get in and see a doctor and get medication.
OK OK.. Some of you might remember that one time I did agree with him!  He is the guy that called Miami a “third world country.”  I still agree with that statement.

I find the following shocking and just hard to believe.

“(CNN) — A manufacturer that has been inscribing Bible references on rifle sights used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan announced Thursday that it will stop putting scripture references on products the U.S. military uses.

Gen. David Petraeus, commander of United States Central Command, said Wednesday — apparently before learning of the company's announcement — that the references were a "big concern" to the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps, which have contracts for the scopes.

"I hope you can sense … this is of serious concern to me and the other commanders in Iraq and Afghanistan because it can indeed create a perception that is absolutely contrary to what it is that we have sought to do," he said.

He said U.S. troops are much more sensitive "about this kind of thing," apparently, than is the contractor involved…”

I think the company should lose the $660 million dollar contract.  If the company wants to donate to a church or religion some of that $660 million or put signs up in and around their plant that is one thing but to put Bible references on weapons that we give to our military and to have us send our troops in to Iraq, Afghanistan or anyplace is wrong.  I do not care if we were at war with the Vatican and had troops fighting it Rome and the Vatican it would still be wrong.

“Russia Today: Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez has once again accused the United States of playing God. But this time it’s Haiti’s disastrous earthquake that he thinks the U.S. was behind. Spanish newspaper ABC quotes Chavez as saying that the U.S. navy launched a weapon capable of inducing a powerful earthquake off the shore of Haiti. He adds that this time it was only a drill and the final target is … destroying and taking over Iran.”
From Real Clear Politics

Hugo Chavez must not believe in God…I would be to scared to say something like that out of fear of God striking me dead on the spot.
What a little scum bag this guy is to say something like this at this time.
Dear God, I know you are busy but take a look at Hugo Chavez and send the Angel of Death to pay him a visit please. I do not pray very often so could you do this one little thing for me please.

Report — Cartoon posted by “brixton” a CNN iReporter

“Telediabolist Pat Robertson claims Haitians visited the epic disaster they’re dealing with on themselves by making a pact with the devil to gain independence from France two hundred years ago. That imbecility might even trump Falwell’s classic bit of hate stating 9/11 was visited on the USA because we had turned our backs on God.

Best defense a CBN mouthpiece has offered for Robertson is that he didn’t say the disaster was ‘God’s wrath.’ No, just that God allowed it to happen and Haitians are devil-worshippers.

Ironic, that a man who’s built his career (and fortune) on that gentle carpenter from two millennia ago, doesn’t know the first thing about his message of love.

Haitians need help. Food, water, materiale. Anything and everything but hate.

We can pray as well. Something Robertson knows nothing about.”  CNN iReport

He says that they are sinners and that the need to turn to God and then things may get better for Haiti.
Because he is part of the right wing God wacky group he is allowed to keep on pouring out this crap.
Someone needs to just come and take him away and put him in a mental hospital.

Pat Robertson is just a sick evil man and if you want to see the face of the devil just look at him.

“Los Angeles, California (CNN) — A grandson of former President Reagan was arrested early Thursday in Los Angeles, California, police said.

Cameron Reagan, 31, was taken into custody by police responding to a house alarm at 12:20 a.m. (3:20 a.m. ET), said Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department.

There was a minor amount of force used, Baek said. Reagan was detained for resisting arrest and is being held on $10,000 bail. Resisting arrest is a misdemeanor…”

I know the story above is not “news” – not something that matters or is important.  I saw the story and I remember that Fox “news” not only reports but they make a big deal out of any family member of a Democrat that is arrested.
So my standard is what would Fox “news” do about a story like this if it was the grandson of any Democrat?
I went to the Fox “news” web site and they all sorts of “news” items. Nude homeless man running near the white house.. They have lots of “news” but not one word yet about the grandson of former President Reagan.  The son of Michael Reagan a right wing conservative commentator.

His nationally-syndicated radio show, The Michael Reagan Talk Show, airs on stations throughout the United States on American Family Radio, after a long stint on Radio America.   I just can not believe what I see on the Internet.  CNN is reporting that the TSA is going to enhance screening for people flying to the United States from certain nations.
You mean to tell me that just NOW we are doing enhanced screening of people from or traveling through; Pakistan, Yemen, Nigeria, Cuba, Sudan, Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Somalia?
These “enhanced” screening rules should have been in effect a long time ago.
Just how stupid are we when it comes to security?

What the world needs to do is send massive amounts of troops into Somalia.  Not the United States because we are busy with two wars right now.  The rest of the world should send in troops and not he way we did at first in Iraq.  They need to send in 200,000 or 300,000 into Somalia.  There is no government in that nation.  They can not control the taking of ships by people that live right there under their nose.  The other nations should go in and kill anyone they find that has a weapon.  They should hang the war lords.  Then I am not sure what you do with the dam nation.
We can not do much because of the Iraq war.  That is a war we should not have started and all the effort we put in there has not helped us.  It just took away from a just war in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan has war lords.  I think we made a mistake when we went into Afghanistan and attempted to give them a NATIONAL government.  We should gone in because of 9/11 but we should not have attempted to build a national government.  We should have worked with each district war lord.
We should let the war lord stay in power if he met certain of our conditions and if not we replace the war lord with someone that will work with us.  The British did that sort of thing with India.

I said the same thing before we went into Iraq.  I said we should not be going into Iraq.  I said the nations around should take care of Iraq IF there was a problem.  I said that if we did go in we needed to go in with 300,000 or 400,000 troops or not go in at all.  I said that we should break Iraq up into area and not try have one nation of Iraq.
But the main thing I said BEFORE we went into Iraq is that we should not be going in and if we did we needed massive force and massive numbers of troops.

I am not sure what is wrong with the people in Washington. God help us all.

Washington (CNN) "The US Conference of Catholic Bishops sent a strongly worded letter to members of the US Senate Friday, terming the abortion language in the Senate Democrats' health care bill "completely unacceptable."

"The new Senate bill is an enormous disappointment, creating new and completely unacceptable federal policy that endangers human life and rights of conscience," reads the letter obtained by CNN Congressional Producer Deirdre Walsh…"

OK I am not sure I understand this… Let me get this correct…. It is OK for us to kiss the ring of a man in a dress… A man that has allowed other men in dresses to suck little boys cocks and fuck little boys in the ass and the guy in the dress with the ring did nothing to stop it for years…
Let me get it clear in my mind.. The guys in dresses and the guys with the rings all have excellent health insurance…

But these same guys do not want the American people to have national health care over some objection on the grounds of religion or on the grounds of politics…
OK OK.. I must be very dumb here.. None of this makes any sense to me…
The thousands of little boys that got fucked by the Catholic Church, and the two or three girls, if they need see a doctor or go to the hospital they better have health insurance or else they will have to pay for it out of their pockets.

What would Jesus want for the American people  and what is justice?
My feeling is fuck the Catholic bishops.

The American people need health insurance.  I was without health insurance for years… I had chest pains and medical problems and I did not have health insurance or money so I just did not see a doctor because I  could not afford health care.
Now I have national health care… I have Medicare.
The Catholic bishops ALL have excellent private health care insurance.
The Republicans in Congress ALL have national health care insurance paid for by all of us.

  I say fuck them all.
I think the Catholic bishops will burn in hell for all time because of their crime of trying to prevent Americans from having health care.

“If you were to judge the success rate of monogamy by the sex lives of public figures, perhaps couples should change their marriage vows to say, "Till a tempting new partner do us part." FULL STORY

CNN has a story by A. Pawlowski and it is listed as a “Mate debate: Is monogamy realistic?”
I know news sites run a lot of stories and reports around subjects like this… anything that talks about sex, sin, stars, mating… People jump on it and want to read it right away…
My gut feeling is that this sort of story on CNN does nothing but hurt them.. If I were one of the born again bible beaters this story would set me off and make me think that CNN had a issue and a goal.
Now knowing what I know about Faux News (aka Fox “news”) I could not turn to them because they run and show more sex than all the other networks.  They of course pretend that they are showing you how bad the other networks are or that they are showing you how sinful the others are… That would not work on me but I bet it works with a lot of the God squad people.

CNN has the story “Vatican welcomes Anglican into Catholic Church.” It is sort of a shock on the one hand but on the other is not so much of a shock.
There are different forms of worship in the Catholic Church.
Many other religions are very close to the Catholic Church… Because they broke away from the church over some point… such as can the king get rid of one  old wife and get a new one.

So I am not shocked… I guess I am just surprised that it seems to happen out of the blue.  I guess they been working on it for years… But wow.. It is happening right now.

“ ROME, Italy (CNN) — The Vatican said Tuesday it has worked out a way for groups of Anglicans who are dissatisfied with their faith to join the Catholic Church.

The process will allow groups of Anglicans, including bishops and married priests, to join the Catholic Church some 450 years after King Henry VIII broke from Rome and created the Church of England, forerunner of the Anglican Communion.

The number of Anglicans wishing to join the Catholic Church has increased in recent years as the Anglican church has welcomed the ordination of women and openly gay clergy and blessed homosexual partnerships, said Cardinal William Joseph Levada, the head of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Their talks with the Vatican recently began speeding up, Vatican officials said, leading to Tuesday’s announcement…”

By DAVE COLLINS, Associated Press Writer Dave Collins, Associated Press Writer – Sun Oct 4, 3:14 pm ET

HARTFORD, Conn. – The nation’s nursing homes are perilously close to laying off workers, cutting services — possibly even closing — because of a perfect storm wallop from the recession and deep federal and state government spending cuts, industry experts say.

A Medicare rate adjustment that cuts an estimated $16 billion in nursing home funding over the next 10 years was enacted at week’s end by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services — on top of state-level cuts or flat-funding that already had the industry reeling.

And Congress is debating slashing billions more in Medicare funding as part of health care reform.

Add it all up, and the nursing home industry is headed for a crisis, industry officials say…”

I do not think there is one American that wants to end up in a nursing home.  But thank God there are nursing homes.
My mother and father made it clear they never wanted to end up in a nursing home and they never had to see the inside of one. My father died at a hospital and my mother died at home.  My mother could die at home because one of my daughters (Hillary) moved in with her and took care of her.

This is a reply to a comment left here… First off let me say that I call myself a Catholic…  NOW having said that … Let me say I do not believe there is a God.
I do wonder who or what started the first little bit … People that do not believe in God will say.. well it was just an atom or something smaller … and I say… go back more.. At some point.. someone or thing had to “create” that little bit from nothing and that someone or thing had to a “God” because it was already here and must have been here forever.
I think there may have been a God.. But he or she is not up in the sky watching or caring for us or listening to our prayers.
  God, I wish there was such a being…Because I am 68 years old…

If everyone in the world prayed at the same time and for the same thing God would not hear it.  It would have an effect.  It would mean that everyone of us was connected and that we all wanted something at the very same time.  It might have some effect but not because God heard it or that he was answering our prayer.
People in a community and with their rituals and beliefs can be a thing for good.  Rituals and teachings can be good for people.  The rituals for birth and everything between up until the rituals for death help us all.
I think religion is a force for good.
